One of the reasons I love working at Huron is the emphasis on Change Management for a successful Oracle Cloud implementation. Our Change Management team and the culture they help create, is a big part of each successful go live, whether the client is in higher education, healthcare, commercial or manufacturing. Traditionally, this involves delivering hundreds of quick reference guides and training for new users, who may report that applying those to their specific situation is difficult and time consuming.
Oracle’s new AI Agents, which they also call Policy Advisors, help our teams and clients to leverage existing policies in a secure format where users can ask unique questions, and receive a specific answer.
We are helping clients place these on any Redwood page. Faster deployment gives us greater reach.
Setup includes steps to
- Opt in to 3 specific features
- Create a custom role with 2 new privileges and 1 new duty role
- Prepare your documentation in PDF format
- Create an Agent and a Tool, which can have multiple documents
- Process the documentation for use by the Agent
- Create a Guided Journey and link a Task to the Agent
- Testing to ensure answers are in line with expectations
You can start with existing documentation, and if testing shows that the chatbot struggles with a topic, update the formatting and content of your documents following Oracle’s guidance.
The chatbots are simple to use, with no training or prompt modification. In this example, a user can ask detailed questions about
- Finding the right vendor for their purchase
- Which form or purchasing path to use based on guided buying principles
- How their specific order may route for approvals
- How they can help resolve common issues, like an invoice price variance
Future updates from Oracle will expand the Agents to access database information, and trigger transactions based on the chat.
Best of all, this feature is available for all clients using Procurement, with their existing license and without extra cost.
